How to Set the Weight Readout on Taylor Electronic Scales

**Taylor electronic scales are designed to measure your personal weight, as well as your body fat and water weight.

** Your scale will measure in either pounds or kilograms, indicating your weight to the nearest ounce or gram.

You can use the scale as a weight only device or you can take advantage of its bells and whistles by completing the programming process.

The scale will store data for up to 10 users. Setup takes only a few minutes.

Set the scale to your choice of kilograms or pounds. The default measurement for the scale is pounds/inches. To change this setting, change the switch on the underside of the scale to kilograms.

Prep the scale for use. Taylor digital scales use a lithium battery. Remove the plastic strip from the battery area for the scale will work. Once removed, place the scale on a level surface and continue setup.

Initialize the scale. This step is required for the first use and after each battery replacement. To initialize, tap lightly on the scale surface. After the scale briefly displays zeroes, the screen will go black. The scale is now ready for basic weigh-ins. Continue through the programming process to take advantage of body-fat and water weight analysis.

Press the "on" button to get started. The screen will display "P0." Use the arrow buttons to choose a user number between P0 and P9 and press "set" to confirm your selection.

Save gender setting. Once you have chosen a user number, the gender icon will display. Use the arrow buttons to choose the appropriate icon and press "set" to save.

Program your age. After setting your gender, the scale will blink "Age" next to the gender icon. Use the arrows to select your age and press "set" to confirm.

Set your height. After confirming age, the screen will ask for your height. Use the arrows to choose the appropriate height and press "set" to confirm.

Weigh in. Once you have saved your data, the scale will display "0.0." Weigh in now or the scale will turn itself off shortly. Repeat Steps 4 through 7 for each user.

Tips

When using the body analysis function at weigh-in, use the up and down buttons to choose your user number and wait for "0.0" to display before stepping on the scale. Body-weight analysis for pregnant women, athletes and children may deliver inaccurate and misleading body-fat percentages.
