How to Set a Date & Time in FreeStyle Lite

By Meredith Jameson

The FreeStyle Lite is a blood glucose monitoring system for individuals with diabetes, hypoglycemia or other medical conditions. The device measures blood sugar after the user lightly pricks her finger, arm or another area of the body with a lancet device and a drop of the drawn blood is placed on a test strip that has been inserted into the FreeStyle Lite monitor. The FreeStyle Lite also provides an alarm setting as well as the date and time, which only take a few steps to set.

Touch the “M” button, or the button on the left-hand side of the device face and hold for 2 seconds until a display screen appears. Press again until the word “SET” appears on the device face and the hour blinks on the bottom of the display screen.

Press the “C” button, or the button on the right-hand side of the device face, until the correct hour appears. Note that “P” will appear next to the time for “PM” times.
