Nature's Best makes several Isopure products including powders, smoothies and drinks -- all offering 100 percent pure whey protein isolate. The Isolate meal replacement powder is mixed with water and the manufacturer notes that it is "the instant recovery your muscles need after a hard workout." Each serving of Isopure powder contains 25 g of carbohydrate.

Isopure powder contains 2700 mg of isoleucine, 6750 mg of leucine, 5450 mg of lysine and 4.6 g of L-glutamine. All these ingredients are single and essential amino acids. Essential amino acids are those that the body cannot produce on its own and must be consumed in the diet for complete nutritional requirements.

Minerals included in Isopure powder are potassium, magnesium, sodium, zinc, selenium, copper, silicon and manganese. Many of these minerals are cited as being added because they are an amino acid chelate. This term refers to their ability to help the body absorb amino acids efficiently. Minerals are also helpful for many other functions such as muscle contraction and bone formation.

Vitamins are essential for muscle growth and maintenance, food assimilation, as well as numerous other functions to help keep the body healthy and strong. The vitamins contained in Isopure powder include ascorbic acid, also known as vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin D, and many B vitamins including thiamin, riboflavin, biotin, niacin and folic acid.

Other Ingredients

Isopure also contains some other ingredients including cocoa, xanthan gum, natural and artificial flavor and aspartame. All of these listed ingredients are natural or artificial mild sweeteners. Each serving of the powder contains only 1 g of sugar.

Additional Isopure Products

In addition to the regular Isopure powder, Nature's Best makes a zero carb protein powder option. Beyond powder mixes, they also offer some pre-mixed drinks as well. There is a zero carb Isopure pre-mixed beverage that comes in flavors including Mango Peach, Passion Fruit, Pineapple Orange Banana, Alpine Punch, Icy Orange, Grape Frost and Apple Melon. These drinks contain 40 g of protein, no lactose and no aspartame. There is a higher sugar option called Isopure Smoothie. The smoothie drink has a yogurt-like consistency and comes in flavors such as Orange Peach, Orange Berry and Berry Pomegranate. The smoothie drinks contain 32 g of protein and are also a rich source of ALA omega-3s.
