Greens Plus is a powdered supplement that gets mixed with water. One serving delivers more essential vitamins, organic minerals, amino acids, enzymes and antioxidants than five full servings of fruits and vegetables, according to the Greens Plus website.

Greens Plus is low in calories. A 3-tsp. serving contains 35 calories. Be aware that this would change if you mixed it with juice.


Fiber is a substance that does not get broken down when consumed. Greens Plus contains 2 g per 3-tsp. serving. Dietary fiber can relieve constipation and reduce the risk for diabetes and heart disease, according to MayoClinic.com.

Vitamins and Minerals

Greens Plus contains a number of vitamins and minerals. Vitamin A, B-12 and E are the most notable. A 3-tsp. serving contains over 180 percent of the daily allowance of each. It also contains magnesium, selenium, iron, iodine, manganese and folic acid.

Greens and Extracts

Being that it's called Greens Plus, it contains a number of greens, such as wheat grass, barley grass, chlorella, soy sprouts, alfalfa grass and spirulina. A 3-tsp. serving contains at least 300 mg of each. It also contains 60 mg of echinacea root, milk thistle seed, licorice root and astragalus root. These are all herbal extracts.
