Lager
Lager comes from the German word “lagern,” which means “to store.” Lagers are often a tavern’s house beer. Beer 101 explains that lagers are fermented in low temperatures of 50 degrees Fahrenheit and the yeast in these beers settles at the bottom of the bottle. Lagers are stored for several weeks or months before serving.
