Side Effects of HGH Factor

By Jonathan McLelland

The human growth hormone is comprised of 190 amino acids and is produced through the pituitary gland. As a child, this hormone is utilized by the body to promote healthy growth and development of bones and tissue. As a person ages, the pituitary gland slows its production of this hormone, which has prompted manufacturers to produce growth hormone stimulators and releasers. HGH Factor is one of a growing number of over-the-counter growth hormone supplements.

Ingredients

The ingredients found within HGH factor are split into two categories: HGH stimulator and HGH releaser. The compounds found within the HGH stimulator include L-lysine, L-valine, L-tyrosine, L-isoleucine, L-arginine and L-glutamine. These ingredients work to stimulate the production of the human growth hormone from the pituitary gland. The ingredients within the HGH releaser include GABA, alpha GPC and shilajit moomiyo. These ingredients work by enhancing the growth hormone levels within the pituitary gland. HGH Factor does not include hormones in its ingredients. Thus, the side effects felt from this supplement are dependent on your body’s ability to absorb and handle the ingredients. Of course, if you are allergic to any of the ingredients you shouldn’t take HGH Factor as you may have an allergic reaction.

HGH Factor Claims

According to information found within the HGH Factor website, this product is not known to create any negative side effects. Unlike other HGH supplements, HGH Factor is taken orally. While this reduces the likelihood of developing side effects such as nausea or intestinal cramps, the ingredients within this supplement are known for causing abdominal cramping in some users.

Potential Side Effects

One of the main compounds used in HGH Factor is GABA, or gamma-aminobutyric acid. While the Clarocet Ingredient Reference Library states GABA supplements are generally safe, and rarely cause side effects, the most common side effect is gastrointestinal discomfort. Other side effects are derived from the HGH stimulator ingredients. Some of the most common side effects for these compounds include nausea, headaches, lowered blood pressure or diarrhea.

Drug Interactions

As with any natural supplement, it is vital you speak directly with your physician prior to taking HGH Factor. This is especially important if you’re taking medications, have poor health or are currently undergoing human growth hormone injection therapy.
