Eniva Vibe Supplement Facts

By Lisa Sefcik

Eniva VIBE is a liquid dietary supplement manufactured and distributed by Eniva Nutraceutics Corporation, headquartered in Anoka, Minn. According to a March 2008 article published in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune, Eniva has been in business for more than 10 years. VIBE, its flagship product, is available in 32-oz. bottles and individual 1-oz. servings.

Eniva Nutraceutics Corporation

Eniva was founded by the twin brothers Andrew Baechler, the company's CEO, and Dr. Benjamin Baechler, Eniva's vice chairman and chief medical officer. Eniva VIBE is only one of numerous products distributed by the company. Eniva also lends its name to protein powders, probitioc supplements, ULTRAShot energy supplements, skincare systems, ResVante anti-aging supplements and even dietary supplements for pets, among many others. Eniva VIBE and other Eniva products are sold by multi-level marketers, who receive a commission for every product sold.

Eniva VIBE

Along with the original Eniva VIBE Energy & Life, the company has expanded this line of liquid dietary supplements to include VIBE Fruit Sensation, VIBE Apple, VIBE Cardiac & Life and VIBE Kids. In December 2010, the retail cost of a 32-oz. bottle of VIBE supplements or a 20-count box of 1-oz. packets was around $50, excluding shipping and handling. According to the Star Tribune, VIBE is marketed as an energy supplement that gives you anti-aging benefits, as well as general health support.

Nutrition Information

A one-ounce serving of VIBE original gives you 100 percent or more of your Daily Value for many essential nutrients, including vitamins C, D, E, B6 and B12; and thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, folic acid, biotin, pantothenic acid, iodine and chromium. This liquid supplement also contains four proprietary formulas to promote immune system, cardiovascular and cellular health, as well as an antioxidant "healthy aging" blend.

How It's Used

According to the manufacturer, adults should take 1 to 2 oz. of VIBE each day, splitting doses in the morning and evening. Prior to use, Eniva VIBE supplements should be shaken well and refrigerated after the bottle has been opened. VIBE is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding or anyone who takes medication or who has an ongoing medical condition. Side effects associated with Eniva VIBE include nausea, loose stool and stomach ache. VIBE contains niacin, which can cause a niacin "flush" -- reddened skin and a warm, prickly sensation -- in some people.

About Dietary Supplements

Eniva VIBE has come under fire by the National Council Against Health Fraud for its more extravagant marketing claims, describing the supplement as "an undistinguished, high-priced, multivitamin/multimineral to which have been added proprietary blends ..." Eniva VIBE is not classified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as a drug, but a dietary supplement. These products, which can contain vitamins, minerals, herbs and botanicals, are made to supplement your diet, says the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine -- not to treat, cure or prevent disease. Before you use dietary supplements to address your health concerns, talk to your doctor. Even if he isn't familiar with Eniva VIBE, he can give you the information you need to know to make an informed choice.
