Matol KM Formula Overview

Matol KM is a merger of modern pharmaceutical science with time-tested traditional herbal medicine designed to improve your health and well-being. Officially, Matol KM is a potassium supplement. According to the Matol KM Fact Sheet on, however, the formula boosts energy levels, oxygenates the blood, eliminates toxins, balances the body's acid-base levels, increases performance and supplements your potassium and magnesium.

Proprietary Herbal Extract Blend

The heart of the Matol KM formula is its "Proprietary Herbal Extract Blend," a balanced mixture of 14 different herbal ingredients. One tablespoon of Matol KM contains a total of 108 milligrams of chamomile, sarsaparilla, dandelion, horehound, licorice, senega, passion flower, thyme, gentian, saw palmetto, alfalfa, angelica, celery seed and cascara sagrada. The herbs are supposed to work in synergy; the amount of any individual herb per dose is probably too small to have a therapeutic effect. For instance, a typical herbal laxative may have 450 milligrams or more of cascara sagrada per dose – more than four times the total weight of a dose of KM's extract blend.

In addition to herbs, a dose of Matol KM contains four key minerals. It has 30.5 milligrams of calcium in the form of calcium glycerophosphate. Ferric glycerophosphate adds 1.4 milligrams of iron. One dose includes 22.5 milligrams of iodine as potassium iodide and 350 milligrams or 10 percent of the recommended daily amount of potassium ion.
