Genital warts stem from the introduction of the human papillomavirus. Genital warts are spread by human sexual contact. The warts are characterized as small, flat bumps found in the vaginal or penis area. Vitamin E oil contains antioxidants and helps heal and soothe areas irritated by genital warts. If you suffer from genital warts, contact your doctor for further instruction and treatment.
The human papillomavirus spreads genital warts occurring in different parts of the body including the throat, cervix, penis and scrotum, larynx, anus and vagina. The virus is spread by skin-to-skin contact occurring during sex. Sexual contact includes oral sex. Treatment for this virus includes medications such as Aldara, Condylox and trichloroacetic acid, known as TCA. The human papillomavirus may cause precancerous diseases of the cervix, anus, throat and penis.
Symptoms of genital warts include itching in the vaginal and anus areas. Some of the warts or lesions remain visible only with a microscope. The warts are flat bumpy areas, colored gray and pink. The lesions may become irritated and bleed as a result of sexual contact. If you know you are infected with genital warts, you should avoid sexual contact.
Vitamin E contains antioxidants, which can prevent further infection of areas containing warts. Vitamin E occurs naturally in seeds, nuts, vegetable oils and green leafy vegetables. Vitamin E’s oil soothes the wart areas and helps heal the lesions.
Vitamin E Application
Vitamin E oil is applied to the wart itself. The lesion needs to be clean and dry before applying vitamin E to the area. Apply vitamin E to the warts daily until you see improvement in the irritated and lesion areas. If the areas remain itchy, talk to your doctor about anti-itch cream to help relieve the itching and irritation.
If you take a blood thinner, talk to your doctor first before applying the vitamin E oil to the genital warts. The capabilities of blood-thinning medications become increased with vitamin E. Always discuss with your doctor any new supplement or medication before trying it.
