How to Lose Weight Fast With the Stewardess Diet
The Stewardess Diet is a diet supposedly made popular by flight attendants. It is similar to the so-called Grapefruit Diet popular in the 1990s. Also referred to as the New Mayo Clinic Diet (even though the Mayo Clinic never endorsed it) or the TWA Stewardess Diet, the plan works by combining certain foods which create a chemical reaction that boosts the metabolism and helps you lose weight. The Stewardess Diet also consists of foods that will help you feel full, and tells you to avoid foods that may provoke hunger. Here are some tips on how to lose weight fast with the Stewardess Diet.
Eat half of a grapefruit with every meal. Grapefruit is high in fiber and will help you feel full longer, which also will prevent you from wanting to snack between meals. Keep in mind that you need to eat your grapefruit plain, without honey or sugar.

Strictly follow the Stewardess Diet plan. Many people do not eat all of the foods that they are supposed to eat or they do not eat the right amount. The combination of foods is what causes a chemical reaction that leads to weight loss. If you avoid eating a certain food, you will not be as likely to see the most effective results on this diet.
Do not add any sweeteners or consume presweetened products. When you are on the Stewardess Diet plan, you will be able to drink pineapple juice, prune juice, black tea or coffee. You will also be able to eat applesauce. It is likely that you will lose a lot more weight when you opt for unsweetened varieties and do not add creamer or sugar.

Opt for fresh vegetables. On the Stewardess Diet plan, you will be encouraged to eat canned green beans or stewed tomatoes. However, read labels--some varieties of canned vegetables contain much more sodium than fresh vegetables.
Know what foods you cannot eat while on the Stewardess Diet. Some of these foods include rice, noodles, potatoes, corn, carrots, peas, potato chips, fruit and salad dressing. If you eat any of the foods which you are not allowed to have, it will prevent you from losing the maximum amount of weight that you could possibly lose.
Drink at least eight 8-oz. glasses of water daily. You are allowed to have other drinks, such as tea or coffee, while you are on this diet. However, it is best to limit your intake of all fluids except for water.
Tips
Avoid snacking between meals. The diet is designed to make you feel full longer, so you probably will not want to.
You may not immediately see the weight loss occur, but within six days, you should lose a few pounds. Some people lose about two pounds a day on the Stewardess Diet.
Warnings
If you begin to feel nauseated or dizzy while on the diet, do not continue. See your doctor if the sickness persists.
