How do I Use the Timer on the Oral-B Vitality?
There are different types of toothbrushes: manual, battery-powered and electric. An electric toothbrush removes up to two times the amount of a plaque than a manual toothbrush. While there is a significant price difference between the manual, electric and rechargeable toothbrushes, the Oral-B Vitality is an option that lets you have cleaner teeth while saving money. This rechargeable toothbrush comes with a timer that pulsates to let you know how long you've been brushing. Using this toothbrush puts you and your family on the road to having healthier teeth and gums, as well as a whiter smile.
Charge the toothbrush. The toothbrush will come with a small charge, but to receive the full benefits, you should leave it on the charger overnight. It will usually hold a charge for up to five days.
Apply toothpaste and moisten bristles under the water.
Press the blue button to the "On" position to start the timer. The timer is a nice way to teach younger children how to brush their teeth for an appropriate amount of time as opposed to simply brushing, spitting, rinsing and calling it done. They learn how to clean their teeth when they spend the right amount of time brushing them.
Brush your teeth, taking time to let the heads of the toothbrush reach all sides of your teeth and gums. It may take a few times to get used to the pulsating action as the rechargeable moves up and down your teeth, sides of your cheeks and gums. The timer will pulsate slowly, letting you know it is time to rinse. Rinse the toothbrush and return it to the base of the charger.
