Weight loss is a struggle many people deal with on a daily basis. Losing weight is difficult when there are so many tempting foods in the world we live in. Maybe you want to lose weight after having a baby, lose a few pounds for an upcoming event or even just become a healthier person. Losing weight is as simple as burning more calories than you take in. Sounds easy enough, but you need a lot of willpower and determination to achieve your goal of burning 1200 calories a day. You can do it with a few steps.

Step 1

Set a time every day for 90 to 120 minutes as your designated exercise time. Adhering to a routine is important if you want to burn 1200 calories every day.

Step 2

Go to a gym and use a treadmill for 30 minutes. This will burn 400 calories. According to famed physical trainer, Jillian Michaels, jogging burns the most calories in the shortest amount of time.

Step 3

Use the elliptical machine for 35 minutes, this will burn 400 more calories. While jogging is the best excersise for burning calories, an eliptical machine is a close second.

Step 4

Fidget while you do daily activities. Fidgeting can burn up to 3,600 calories per 24 hours depending on muscle mass and body weight. Shake your leg while sitting in a chair, twiddle your thumbs, rock back and forth or tap your foot for 30 to 60 minutes throughout the day to burn 400 calories.
