How to Find the Mandibular Angle Pressure Point

By Christine Lehman

The mandibular angle pressure point is a sensitive point on the human body. If slight pressure is placed on this point, pain can result. As such, it is often a target in martial arts such as taekwondo and in police training to combat aggressive behavior.

How to find the mandibular angle pressure point

Locate your earlobe.

Locate your mandible, or jawbone.

Place a single finger just below the earlobe on the neck, right behind the jawbone.

Apply slight pressure. This should elicit moderate pain radiating down the jaw.

Adjust your finger a little and try again if you do not feel any pressure or pain.
