Dramamine Directions

As any seasoned traveler knows, various types of transportation from cruise ships to amusement park rides can potentially cause headaches, dizziness, nausea and vomiting. Motion sickness often comes on unexpectedly, starting with uneasiness and ending with vomiting. The travelers most likely to experience symptoms are pregnant women, migraine sufferers and children ages 2 to 12. One of the most effective drugs to treat and prevent motion sickness is dimenhydrinate, sold in stores as Dramamine. Dramamine is also available in chewable form and in a less-drowsy formula, which reduces the sedative side effect of original Dramamine.

Take your first dose of Dramamine 30 minutes to one hour before traveling to prevent motion sickness. To treat motion sickness, take your initial dose at the first sign of symptoms.
