Allowable Foods on Dr. Bernstein's Diet

Besides the dietary requirements of the diet, you also need to make regular visits to a Bernstein clinic, take vitamins and supplements and practice behavior modification steps. According to an article in CBC News, followers of the diet must also get regular vitamin B complex injections.
Protein
How much protein you eat on this diet depends on the number of calories and the plan you’re put on after your initial consultation. All three large meals of the day require protein, but you’re usually free to choose what you prefer. According to Diet.com, acceptable options include seafood, fish and chicken. Vegetarian sources of protein include tofu, meat substitutes and soy products in general. Soy milk is often loaded with sugars so it’s not allowed. Dairy products in general, however, are acceptable.
