Wheatgrass juice is the juice of wheat berries, which are usually sprouted and grow to form green grass. Wheatgrass juice is nutrient-dense and contains essential fatty acids, chlorophyll and enzymes. Wheatgrass juice also contains zinc, selenium, manganese, phosphorous, calcium and other minerals. Freshly squeezed wheatgrass loses its potency if kept too long, so it is best to drink it immediately. If you must store it longer than 24 hours in the refrigerator, it is best to freeze the juice for future use.
Pour your wheatgrass juice into an ice cube tray. Place the ice cube tray into a resealable plastic bag. This will minimize the oxygen that reaches the juice, keeping the valuable nutrients intact.
Put the ice tray into the refrigerator and freeze for four hours.
Take out the ice tray and use two wheatgrass cubes for each serving of wheatgrass juice that you drink. Thaw the cubes in a single-serving glass in the refrigerator before drinking.
