Toe Fungus infections are extremely common. Over 35 million people worldwide suffer from athletes foot and other toe fungus infections. Foot fungus can cause your feet to become itchy and swollen and cause your toenails to yellow, thicken and harden. Follow these simple steps to get rid of toe fungus fast.

Soak your feet in a vinegar foot bath twice daily until the fungus dies. It is best to use 1/4 C. white vinegar to every 1 C. hot water and soak for at least 20-30 minutes at a time. Thoroughly dry your feet after using this toe fungus cure to discourage athletes foot from sticking around.

Soak your toenails in Listerine. Believe it or not - the germ killing power in this mouthwash can also kill toenail fungus and cure athletes foot. Soak your toes for 30 minutes - 2 times a day until your toe fungus dies.

Keep your feet dry. Fungus loves to grow in dark and damp places. Keep your feet as dry as possible. Always wear 100% cotton socks which allow your feet to breathe. If you notice your feet becoming damp during the day, consider using a foot spray which prevents foot sweat from occurring.

While treating your toe fungus infection, avoid painting your toe nails as this can actually encourage the growth of fungus. Instead, keep your nails neat and trimmed and use a mixture of 1 teaspoon of olive oil mixed with 3 drops of oregano oil. Rub this on your toenail fungus every night for not more than three weeks until your toe fungus dies.

Tip

Consult your doctor if your foot fungus lasts longer than 2-3 weeks. You may have a more serious issue that requires prescription topicals. Always wear non-slip shoes in public showers to avoid getting and spreading athletes foot. Keep your feet as dry as possible!

Warning

Never use scissors to trim off fungus damaged skin as you could cause your infection to get worse.
