Bed bugs bites, although not dangerous, can cause itching and swelling of the skin. The best way to prevent bed bug bites is to identify the location of the infestation and destroy it. This may take time during which bed bugs continue to bite. Bed bugs normally leave the body after they have finished sucking human blood. If you see a bed bug on your body, you can kill it using a few methods.

Prepare the alcohol-water solution. Mix the alcohol and water and add few drops of tea tree to give the solution a pleasant smell.

Rub the mixture on the skin surrounding the bed bug. Drop few drops of the solution on the bed bug too. This will kill the bed bug.

Rub eucalyptus oil on your skin before you go to sleep.

Remove the bed bug from the skin with your fingers. Kill the bed bug by pressing against it.
