How to Grow Body Hair Fast
The American Academy of Dermatology notes that hair growth takes place inside the hair follicle. The hair follicle is located within the epidermis layer of skin. The hair shaft, which is porous, grows inside the follicle and will become soft when wet. When hair follicles become stimulated, new or rapid hair growth will occur. Herbal remedies have been used in many traditions around the world to stimulate the growth and beauty of hair. Please note the FDA has not proven herbal remedies effective. If you have a concern about your health, please contact your doctor.

Take a hot shower and then rub a small amount of the herbal mix onto parts of your body where you would like hair to grow faster. Jude C. Williams and Jude Todd share this remedy in their book "Jude's Herbal Home Remedies." Rosemary and lemongrass are said to stimulate hair follicles and help hair to grow faster.
Take the recommended dosage written on the bottle of gota kola tincture daily in a little bit of warm water. Gotu kola may stimulate hair growth according to Asa Hershoff and Andrea Rotelli in their book "Herbal Remedies." They also claim that the herb also strengthens connective tissue around the follicle 2. Note that herbal remedies are not regulated by the FDA and thus are not proven to be safe or effective.

Drink a cup of nettle tea daily. Hershoff and Rotelli also claim that nettles stimulate hair growth and prevent baldness. The same caution applies for nettle tea as was noted for gotu kola.
Tips
You can also drink a tea of gotu kola and rosemary together or purchase a tincture for both. Another option is that health food stores often have healthy hair and skin formulas already made in tincture form. Look for shampoos that contain certain herbal products, such as horsetail, nettles or lavender. You can wash your body with the shampoo to also help stimulate hair growth.
Warnings
Be careful not to get the essential oil on your body or in your eyes or mouth. Essential oils always need a carrier oil since they are such potent plant material. Applying them directly to skin can cause irritation.
