Exercise burns calories to reduce fat associated with heart disease and diabetes, but it also strengthens the heart and lungs making them work more efficiently. Like good nutrition, exercise helps keep your body systems working properly.

Junk food not only don't provide any nutritional value, but often are high in fat, sugar and refined carbohydrates that can lead to feelings of fatigued and sluggishness. Exercise increases the efficiency of your heart and lungs, which leads to more energy.
Diet and exercise help build a body that looks great and functions efficiently, which leads to better body and self-image. Exercise releases several chemicals into the brain that help reduce stress, anxiety and depression. Further exercise increases your feelings of confidence, and improves mood and thought processes.
