By Linda Tarr Kent ; Updated July 18, 2017

The Methyl Ripped Adrenaline pill is purported to help you lose weight, enhance muscle definition and boost athletic performance. It promises to “harness the power of adrenaline” to help you “achieve shocking fat loss,” according to the manufacturer. This supplement contains a variety of ingredients that produce physiological effects so it’s important to consult a health care provider before using it — especially if you have a medical condition or take medicines.

You are supposed to take this purported adrenaline-booster with meals. Manufacturer instructions advise you not to exceed six capsules in a 24-hour time frame. The minimum dose is one capsule twice a day with meals and the maximum dose is three capsules twice a day with meals, according to NX Labs.

This diet supplement purports to raise the level of adrenaline in your body. The theory is that adrenaline increases metabolism, which will help you to lose weight. Your body naturally produces adrenaline and cortisol when stressful situations arise. These hormones incite your fight-or-flight response. Adrenaline and cortisol also travel to your body's fat cells, helping them to open and release fat that your body uses as fuel into your bloodstream.

Keeping your adrenaline levels at a consistently high level may not be safe, advises the Diet Pill Reviews website. Normally, your adrenaline levels naturally diminish when the stress that sparked their release subsides. Adrenaline’s counterpart, cortisol, remains in your body longer and sends your body signals to refuel, which is why elevated levels of this hormone may lead to weight gain, according to nutritionist Anne Collins.
