Considerations

The coating on most yogurt-covered pretzels is made of sugar and palm kernel oil rather than real yogurt, according to information from Alyse Levine, a registered dietitian. This coating accounts for much of the fat and calories in the snack and unlike real yogurt, it provides little protein, calcium and vitamins. If you're watching your calorie intake, yogurt-covered pretzels should be limited to an occasional treat.
