Both sea salt and lemon add a lot of flavor to your food without a lot of calories. While lemon juice is a healthier choice, sea salt offers benefits that make it a better choice than your usual table salt.

Benefits of Sea Salt

When it comes to sodium content, there's no difference between sea salt and table salt; they're both high in sodium, with more than 2,000 milligrams per teaspoon. Due to its mineral content, sea salt adds a bit more flavor than regular table salt. This factor, combined with the larger crystals in sea salt, may help you use less overall salt, which might reduce your sodium intake.

Benefits of Lemon

Lemon juice offers more than just flavor to your food; it's also an excellent source of vitamin C, meeting more than 30 percent of your daily needs in the juice of one lemon. As an antioxidant, the vitamin C in the lemon juice may reduce your risk of certain diseases, such as heart disease and cancer, by protecting your cells from free radical damage. Vitamin C also supports skin health, promotes wound healing and is good for your immune system.
