Heart palpitations are signified by a rapid heartbeat, a thumping in the chest that seems uncontrollable. Palpitations often go away quickly, but can reappear at any time. Anyone experiencing heart palpitations should get checked out by a physician, but there are some natural remedies that will help you feel better over the short term.
Make your own grape juice. Grapes are excellent for the heart, and drinking natural grape juice on a frequent basis will help you get rid of your heart palpitations. Have two glasses of grape juice on a daily basis.
Cut one guava up and eat it early in the morning on an empty stomach. This is also effective for those who suffer from anxiety and anemia.
Honey is one of the best treatments for palpitations. Honey is a natural food that is easily digested and goes to work in the body quickly. Take an 8-oz. glass of water, mix it with a teaspoon of honey and the juice from 1/2 a lemon. Mix this well and drink it before bed to get rid of these tremors.
Foods that contain magnesium are helpful to those suffering from heart palpitations. Studies done at the Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center have shown that individuals who don't get enough magnesium in their diet can develop a rapid heartbeat. Foods that are high in magnesium include skim milk, leafy vegetables and nuts. Eat at least one portion of these foods on a daily basis.
