A shoulder holster provides a convenient and comfortable way to carry a concealed firearm and extra ammo, especially if you spend a lot of time sitting down. Leather straps go over each shoulder, connecting at a common point between the shoulder blades. The connecting piece should center just below your shirt collar, and straps adjusted so the holster tucks along the rib cage just below your armpit. The shoulder harness must fit snugly to keep your firearm from flopping around.
What Not to Wear
To conceal your shoulder holster, wear an open shirt or jacket over the top of it. If you wear a pullover or have your jacket or shirt zipped or buttoned up, you'll have a more difficult time accessing your firearm when you need it. In windy conditions, zip or button the bottom few buttons to keep the wind from blowing your clothing open and revealing your piece.
