How to Watch Live Cricket Matches

By Andrew Smith

Cricket is a sport that many sports fans are not familiar with. Cricket is not a part of American culture nor is it televised in the United States. Perhaps you're new to the game or have just moved to the country and are having trouble finding live cricket matches. With high-speed internet, though, you're never far from your favorite team. Here is how to watch live cricket matches.

Log onto the MyP2P website. Click on the “Software” tab found at the top of the screen.Scroll down until you find “Sopcast” found under the “Clients” heading. Click onto the Sopcast link or picture. Doing this will open a new web page. Scroll down to the bottom of the new screen to find the Sopcast download links. Clink on the download link at the bottom of the screen which is appropriate for your operating system. This will open a download box for Sopcast. Download and install Sopcast onto your computer.

Head back to the MyP2P website and click on the “Software” tab on the top of the home page once again. Scroll down and this time click on the “TV Ants” link or picture found underneath the “Clients.” Once again, this will take you to a new web page with download links. Download and install “TV Ants” in the same manner as you did Sopcast. Restart your computer if you need to do so in order to install these programs. Go back to the MyP2P home page.

Click on the “Live Sports” tab at the top of the screen. This will take you to a new web page with tabs for numerous sports. Select the “Cricket” tab near the top of the screen. It will be the fourth of the sports tabs from the left of the screen (after “Am. Football,” “Baseball” and “Basketball”). This will take you to a screen which will contain a list of that day's live cricket matches. Find the cricket match you wish to watch. Once you've done so, click on the icon to the right of that match. The icon will be an arrow pointing to the right which is inside of a small television set. Clicking this icon will take you to a new web page.

Click on the “Play” link that is available for that particular match. This will open the appropriate software you will need to watch this particular match. The software will be listed to the left of the “Play” link. If it is a TV Ants link, your game will begin showing after about a minute or so. For a Sopcast link, click the link to open Sopcast. Then, right-click the “Play” link and select “Copy Shortcut.” Once Sopcast is fully opened, delete what is found in the Address box of Sopcast. Right-click in the box and select “Paste.” This will put the correct link into the Address box. Click on the blue circle with a white arrow found to the right of the box to open the link. Your cricket match will begin playing once the game loads. It's important to note that links will not be available until about a half-hour before the cricket match starts. Sometimes, links are not made available until minutes before the beginning of the match.
