Clean your skin where the gel pads will make contact. This helps to prolong the life of the gel pads, and ensure that they're sanitary.
Peel the plastic cover off of the gel pads and apply the belt to your waste. Position the large gel pad in the middle of your waist, and the two smaller ones on your obliques. Velcro the belt securely.
Turn the control panel on by pressing the power button. You will be prompted to choose a program with a specific time limit and EMS interval.
Use the up and down arrows to adjust the intensity of the EMS on both sides of the unit. Start with a level that is comfortable while you adjust to the feeling and contraction intensity. Increase the level until you obtain a muscle contraction that is effective, but not painful.
Turn the unit off once the time has run down, and remove the belt. Cover the gel pads with the protective plastic and store the belt for the next use.
Use your Slendertone Flex five days a week for the first week, then reduce your use to three to five session per week.
