The Best Seats at Talladega Superspeedway

By Craig Berman

The Talladega Superspeedway is one of the premier NASCAR venues in the country, and racing fans flock to Alabama every year to watch their favorite drivers race. Tickets have been tougher to come by, with the speedway reducing seating capacity from more than 140,000 to 78,000 seats in recent years. What constitutes the best seats in the house depend on your priorities -- being in the stands, or avoiding the elements and sitting in a suite.

Head For The Tower

If you like to watch the race in the great outdoors, the Tri-Oval Tower Seats at the speedway are elevated grandstands that are close to the starting and finish line, which gets you in prime position for a fantastic finish. You’re high enough that there aren’t the blind spots that limit viewing in the lower grandstands, and as long as the weather holds up its an excellent place to watch the race.

Suite Option

For those wanting to watch the race in comfort, the Fan Suites at Talladega Superspeedway offer an attractive option. They provide climate-controlled seating, catered meals, souvenirs and flat-screen TVs. In addition, buying two suite tickets gets you one parking pass. Of course, those suites are priced to match -- in 2014, a weekend pass that covered events from Friday to Sunday cost $675.
