How to Make Yourself Lighter

By Contributing Writer

Everyone feels heavy now and again. Feeling heavy can be as obvious as your weight or as complex as your own confidence and self-worth. Sometimes it helps just to do a few tricks to help yourself look and feel better. For the broadest sense of the meaning, you can feel lighter in all the different ways the term can be taken. So not only will you look slim and dazzling, you will also that way.

Wear black. It is the simplest way to slenderize and make yourself feel lighter at the same time, because black can be a very empowering color.

Get your heart rate up for 30 minutes each day. This will help you lose weight and keep your energy level up. If you do this and eat a daily diet of 2,000 calories or less, you will become physically lighter.

Take a 15- to 30-minute nap at some point each day. It can be as simple as closing your eyes and letting your mind wander. This will revitalize you. And since most people don’t get enough sleep each night, it is probably much needed.

Wear the correct size of undergarments, pants and shirts. Wearing something that is too small or big not only makes you look heavy, but it also makes you feel heavy, because it contours your shape into something it doesn’t have to be.

Immerse yourself into your emotional support group. This can include anyone from your family to your friends and is a group of people you feel safe and loved by who will encourage you, boost your morale and make you feel lighter. Sometimes there is nothing better then talking out all the things that can build up in your life, weigh you down and cause you to feel heavy.
