Setting Up the Enduro 8
Before you can use your Enduro 8 for the first time you will need to perform the setup on your Enduro 8 bike computer. Begin by pressing the "Mode", "Start/Stop" and "Set" buttons simultaneously to reset the data on the computer. Choose between miles and kilometers as the form of measurement using the "Mode" button. The last step to setting up your Enduro 8 is inputting the tire circumference. The circumference measurement usually can be found on the side of your bike's tires. Use the "Mode" and "Start/Stop" buttons to increase and decrease the number values to the correct measurement. Press the "Set" button to save your changes.
Choosing a Data Display Mode
Your Enduro 8 displays time and trip distance functions at the bottom of the screen. The Clock Time feature displays the current time as well as elapsed time, toggle between the two time features using the "Mode" button. The Trip Distance feature is capable of recording two trip distances, toggle between the two trip distance screens by pressing and holding the "Mode" button.
Using Auto Time Mode
Your Enduro 8 bike computer can be set to record trip measurements automatically. To activate the Auto Time mode on your Enduro 8, press the "Set" button while the bike computer is in Elapsed Time display mode. If the "AT" icon is lit, Auto Time mode is already activated. To turn it off, or to turn it on if the "AT" icon is not lit, press the "Set" button again. The Enduro 8 will use an internal sensor to record trip speeds and measurements.
Using Manual Measurements
If you would prefer to record trip measurements manually, first make sure that the Auto Time mode on the Enduro 8 is turned off. To begin recording manual measurements with the Enduro 8, press the "Start/Stop" button to both start and stop recording. To reset the manual measurements, press and hold the "Mode" and "Start/Stop" buttons for two seconds.
Replacing the Battery
When the displays on the Enduro 8 start to dim, it's time to replace the battery. The Enduro 8 is powered by a lithium CR2032 battery, available at your local retail or jewelry store. Before you replace the battery in your Enduro 8, be sure to write down the current odometer reading and data. Use a quarter or other small coin to remove the battery cover, then insert the replacement CR2032 battery with the "+" side facing up. Replace the battery cover and repeat the setup instructions described in Section 1.
