The Bowflex XTL is an amazing piece of workout equipment that saves space while delivering the same or better workout than many of its bulkier competitors. If you bought the Bowflex used, then there may not be an instruction manual.
Attach the lower lat tower to the base. Do not completely tighten the hardware yet.
Put the base assembly on one side. Install the hardware and tighten all screws at this time.
Put the chest bar up against the base assembly. Install and tighten all screws. Do not unwrap the cables.
Put the seat cushion on the floor. Match up the seat rail/bracket onto the seat cushion. Install the hardware and tighten all screws.
Put the leg extender over the leg extension tube. Install the hardware and tighten all the screws. Do not unwrap the cables.
Match the seat rail assembly with the leg extension assembly. Install the hardware and tighten everything down.
Cut the tie holding the seat rail bushings (if needed). Put the seat rail assembly beneath the base assembly. Install all the hardware and tighten so that the seat rail can pivot. Screw in the threaded knob.
Put the upper lat tower against the lat cross bar. Install the hardware and tighten everything up. Do NOT unwrap the cables.
Place the upper lat tower assembly into the lower lat tower. Install the hardware and tighten everything down.
Put the face plate against the lower lat tower. Match the face plate back panels with the lower lat tower and around the rod box. Install all the hardware and tighten everything up.
Put the 210# rod box on its side. Put the rod box mount beneath the rod box. Install all the hardware and tighten it up.
Slide the rod box assembly in the rod box. Install all the hardware and tighten everything down.
Place the leg extension roller tubes through the leg extension tubes. Place the foam rollers onto the tubes. Use the plugs to plug up the tube ends.
Put the bench cushion onto the seat rail. Tighten everything down.
Unwrap the chest bar cables. Take the rod hooks and hook them to the Power Rod unit. Attach the snap hooks to the hand grips.
Unwrap the lat cross bar cables. Connect the snap hooks that are on the chest bar to the lat cross bar cables. Connect the snap hooks on the lat cross bar to the 50-inch lat bar hand grips.
Unwrap the leg extender cables. Attach the leg extension cables to the snap hooks from the chest bar.
Lift off the bench cushion. Take the snap hooks from the chest bar and connect them.
